Montrose staff and children spent an afternoon digging up their vegetables and herbs from the Nursery vegetable garden, cleaned and bagged all produce and then hired a stall at the local Montrose Farmers Market on Saturday 1st October from 9am to 1pm. It was a very busy and “fruitful” venture if not a bit wet – all potatoes, lettuce and herbs were sold out.

Bee Nursery, Cupar are developing a community garden for use by not only the nursery children but also local community groups. The aim of the garden is to develop young children’s and young adult understanding of the outdoors, the life cycle of garden vegetables, flowers and wildlife.

Congratulations to all staff and children in the pre-school room at Newport - they created an award winning Garden in a Teapot entry at the Royal Highland Show. Out of 50 entries Newport's Teapot came in 3rd.
